On Wednesday, November 11, Director Satoshi Matsui and Mayumi Mitsui came to Linden Hall High School to conduct a seminar on video development.

Main seminar leader Matsui was the director of popular 2018 TV program “Actress Shibasaki Ko’s Sustainable Travels”.

Grade 7 to 11 students gathered around excitedly to learn about the do’s and don’ts of video creation from directors active in the field.

What is the most important thing when it comes to video development?
“Translate your passion to the screen!”

After this first and important piece of advice, the seminar moved on to cover video theory and cold openings.

They explained in detail various video editing techniques through showcasing many example videos, and students were inspired to brainstorm themes and ideas for their own videos.

It was an exciting seminar that ignited students’ interest in video creation!
