On Tuesday, September 29, first- to third-year students from the Joint Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Yamaguchi University visited our school for an exchange session with Linden Hall High School students interested in careers in healthcare and public health.
During the discussion, students actively shared their thoughts on a range of environmental issues, including marine pollution, rising temperatures, and human-wildlife conflicts involving bears.

They also discussed the interconnectedness of human and animal health, the health of our environment, and their visions for the future.

After the discussion, Linden Hall High School students shared comments such as, “I was able to gain perspectives on environmental issues that were different from the solutions I had originally considered,” and “I feel that the discussion helped broaden my thinking.”
The university students also shared their impressions, including, “Through visiting the English Garden, I realized once again how much we can learn from the nature around us,” and “It was great to learn that a school like Linden Hall High School exists and to have the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with high school students.”
We would like to sincerely thank the students from Yamaguchi University for visiting our school and sharing their valuable perspectives with us.
