Our school is a member of Round Square, a global educational network that connects private schools in approximately 50 countries around the world. Through this network, our students regularly participate in a variety of international online exchanges and collaborative learning opportunities.
On Thursday, May 28, Miss Luong (Grade 10) took part in a Round Square Geography Lab session. The theme of the discussion was “Sustaining Our Future: Building Sustainable Cities – The Impact of Urbanization on the Environment.” During the session, students from countries including India and Australia exchanged ideas and discussed the challenges and opportunities associated with urban development and environmental sustainability.

Participants also focused on United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, exploring how cities and communities can be designed and managed to protect biodiversity while supporting sustainable growth. Through discussions on practical strategies and solutions, students had the opportunity to share perspectives across cultures and gain a deeper understanding of sustainable development from multiple viewpoints.
The experience provided a valuable opportunity for students to think critically about global issues and learn from peers around the world.
We hope that through continued participation in Round Square activities, our students will develop the ability to view global challenges as their own, work collaboratively with people from diverse backgrounds, and actively seek solutions for a more sustainable future.
