On 11/24 (Fri), 6 students from grade 9 received a special certificate of appreciation from the Chikushino Police Department for saving a lost 5 year old child.

Linden Hall is dedicated to raising students who are self motivated problem solvers and who deeply care for others. We are incredibly proud of the students who put our school values to practice as they took initiative to kindly look after and return a lost child to the worried parents. We are committed to continuing to foster young leaders who are active and aware of their surrounding community and become valuable members of society.

On the evening of 10/2 (Mon), grade 9 students Sara Aso, Ayame Ito, Sona Komiya, Rinsuke Goto, Leo Takamatsu, and Yuki Tanaka were walking from school toward the Nishitetsu Futsukaichi station when they found a 5 year old girl standing alone outside the Hotto Motto.

3 of the female students approached the girl, asking “Are you ok? Are your parents around?” They discovered that the girl was lost, so Rinsuke Goto put her on his shoulders so they had a better view. When they could not spot the girl’s parents from this higher perspective, the group went to the Futsukaichi-mae Koban to enlist the help of the police.

They reported the situation and left their contact information with the police and headed home. The parents of the child had contacted the police as well, so they were able to quickly return the child to her parents safely.

Later, the Chikushino Police department contacted Linden Hall to arrange for a certificate of appreciation to be awarded to the 6 students for their heroic actions in caring for the lost child.
