The student government sponsored a special lecture for students on Monday, May 8.

The guest lecturer, Kyushu University Associate Professor of Comprehensive Science and Engineering, Dr. Masatoshi Mitsuhara, spoke on materials engineering concepts.

Providing numerous real-life examples, he explained the basics of engineering in an easily comprehensible manner to the junior high and high school students.

They were able to learn how engineering professionals use their knowledge and skills to respond to society’s various needs.

It was a valuable opportunity to think about how societies are structured.
