On Monday, September 14, Associate Professor Julia Resnik from the Seymour Fox School of Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem visited Linden Hall High School as part of her visit to IB schools in Fukuoka.
Associate Professor Resnik is a researcher specializing in the globalization of education policy, comparative education, multiculturalism, and international education. On September 12, she delivered a keynote speech at the 11th Annual Conference of the Japan Association for International Baccalaureate Education, held at Kyushu University. The theme of her keynote was “The Sustainability of the International Baccalaureate (IB) in Public Education: Governance, Leadership, and Global Perspectives.” Several teachers and students from our school also attended the symposium.
During her visiat to our school, Associate Professor Resnik observed IB classes and then exchanged ideas with the teachers responsible for the classes. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for her to learn more about the distinctive features of our educational approach and how our students engage with their IB studies on a daily basis.
We would like to sincerely thank Associate Professor Resnik for taking the time to visit our school despite her busy schedule.
