Led by the junior high and high school students, Linden Festival this year was held on Saturday, October 7.
Despite the short preparation period, the students, under the leadership of the Linden Festival Student Committee, were able to create an exceptional experience for all attendees. Participants reported enjoying greatly both the stage performances in the morning segment as well as the activities and exhibitions in the afternoon segment.
Kosei Fukahori in Grade 11, who has helmed the Linden Festival Student Committee for the past 2 years, kicked off the morning performances with a speech.
7th grader Anzu Ito gave a presentation on her experience in the International Youth Exchange Programme, organized by the Cabinet Office.
The 8th graders collaborated to present on their diverse overseas experiences.
Grade 9 showed their collaborative film, “Escape Room 2 Trailer”.
Kento Honda from Grade 10 made a speech about his international learning journey through the “Tobitate! Represent Japan Study Abroad Programme”.
The Grade 11 class spoke on their upcoming school trip to Singapore.
The afternoon segment included a detective agency, handicrafts activity, escape room, quiz marathon, mini theatre, ice cream shop, photography and art exhibition, used books bazaar, and more. Students also performed live in the music room.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the parents and guardians who helped make Linden Festival a success as well as to all of the participants.
